New(ish) member from South East Texas. I was sent here by David the Good. A bit about me. I live on 2 acres with over 100 fruit trees in USDA zone 9A. I work at Motiva Port Arthur as an operator. I have a Wife and a Daughter  (7) Son's (5,3). Wife was diagnosed with cancer 3 years ago, which is now stage 4. We still raise meat birds and have laying hens. I make wine, have bees etc. My political views: Anarchist. :)
Here is my youtube channel. I use youtube to document where I have been and I like looking back to see how much my place has grown.  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNaaKJx1pCsctS2SZ95-SAg/featured?view_as=subscriber

Hi John.  We are just NE of Houston, TX.  Just bought a home on 2 acres so will be starting our farm over.  The soil is different from west rural houston where we currently live.  Lot's of mudbugs everywhere!
We will be learning permaculture methods to design a new kind of farm.
Just wanted to say Hi from a local.

Howdy!

I first found Paul because of the Podcast while working as a draftsman in Houston.

I am in my hometown on IH35 north of Austin currently. (Central TEXAS where hills meet black land prairie)

(Drought of 2022 happening now)

I am looking at a small rental in Riverside TX (outside of Huntsville) where hopefully i can at least grow a little bit of food and buy eggs from the back neighbors. Any permies in my general vicinity? I literally know no one here...long story how I ended up in TX after nearly 60 years in CA. Wanna make friends and maybe do some work /trade or at least idea exchange/learning with others.

Would anybody like some fudge? I made it an hour ago. And it goes well with a tiny ad ...
