cats and ringworm

Any body here have any clues about how to deal with ringworms.  My girlfriend and I are harbouring some ex street cats and the latest kitten has introduced ringworm.  We're trying vinegar at the moment at regular intervals but not sure if its helping really as they see to keep popping in new places....on them and on us.

ring worm is a fungus. you can go get some tinactin made for feet to kill it or something that treats yeast infections. tea tree oil would likely help also.  be prepped to treat yourself too!

Leah is right - it's a fungus. 

Iodine is gonna kill it right quick.  Twice a day for a week.

I'll get some tea tree oil...I should of thought of that actually.  And yeah, i'm not only prepared to treat my self, i'm soaking in apple vinegar regularly.

First take your cats to the vet & get them treated internaly, then get a product called health gaurd ,use this on clothing, wooden walls or floors, furniture. Use bleach on all hard surfacesYou must clean every surface !!! remember cats go everywhere CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN !!! My wife & I have been raising persian cats for 13 years, If you miss any spores they can live for seven years! This is very hard to clear up. We had an outbreak over 8 years ago and it cost us close to 800.00 in medicine for the cats (we have 15 )and healthgaurd & bleach !!! Then a compleat Top to Bottom cleaning of every surface!!! We beat it !!! but most multible cat homes do not ! If you do not clean this outbreak up it will plauge you & your pets for years to come !! Tea tree oil will help but it is only part of the cure.
