Hello,

I am trying to download old episodes of the podcast to my Ipod (the gaia's garden series). When I click on the "download" link in the archives at richsoil.com it just pulls up another tab and starts playing the episode. I am pretty computer illiterate and don't want to break my wife's computer. I should also mention that my Ipod is old... real old. Ok thanks for any help you can offer.

Josh,

I've never owned an ipod or anything ipod-ish so there is a lot I don't know.

I sent an email yesterday to Josiah who knows this stuff, but I know that his day job will consume several days in a row sometimes.

I know that Josiah has told me about a plan to do something to facilitate bulk downloads to ipod-ish things.

Anybody else here have suggestions for Josh?

Right click on that "Download" link and choose the "Save Link As" (or a similar sounding option depending on your browser). That will allow you to download it to your system.

I got an email from Josiah saying pretty much the exact same thing as Jaikiran: "Right click -> Save file"

Is this helping?

Thats the best way to do it. There are also some plugins you can install on some browsers that will allow you to download all mp3's on the website at once... that can be handy when you want multiple episodes at once.

Is the Right Click -> Download/Save working for you?

Beauty is in the eye of the tiny ad.
