I didn't know where to post this, but I "met" this amazing woman, Nightbirde, real name Jane Marczewski, when she performed on America's Got Talent.  She was Simon Cowell's golden buzzer, but had to drop from the show because she is battling late stage cancer.  Just in case someone hasn't heard about this incredible, inspiring woman, you can read about her, and read some of her outstanding poetry, on her site in the blog area.  Jane is a very talented musician and writer.  She is truly a magnificent person and I am in awe of her strength and courage.  Nightbirde  It's very hard to feel any sort of self-pity if you follow this young woman's story.

Here are a couple of quotes:
“Don’t you want to see what happens if you don’t give up?"
“I am much so more than the bad things that have happened to me.”
“You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore until you decide to be happy.”

As incredible as this woman is, I'm reminded daily of the strength and courage of "ordinary" people, people without 15 minutes of fame.  My mother that raised three boys on her own, with no help from anyone, or any agency.  She gave up so much to make sure we always had food, clothing, a roof over our heads, and love.  My step father, that took on an entire family, ready-made, and made it his own.  My parents worked very hard, sacrificed much, loved us dearly, and made sure our lives were easier than theirs had been.  These stories are everywhere, and I am humbled by them.

I love a woman who dresses in stainless steel ... and carries tiny ads:
