Thanks Debbie Ann and John.
Debbie Ann - I was able to get Sweet Scarlet goumi plants from Whiffletree (
https://www.whiffletreefarmandnursery.ca/product/goumi-sweet-scarlet-1-2/). They sold out within a couple days of opening ordering in January. The two plants I got are doing well and I may have cuttings next year to share. I'd also anticipate Whiffletree would get new supply for next Spring as well.
John - yes, seems like Sweet Scarlet and Carmine are two fairly popular cultivars. In the US - Brambleberry seems to have some in Indiana (
https://www.brambleberrypermaculture.com/2022/02/08/carmine-goumi-berry/) and I saw in a Youtube
video that Edible Acres has some growing (
https://www.edibleacres.org/purchase) in New York.
But no luck finding anyone selling Carmine north of the border. If anyone comes across someone selling Carmine in Canada, please let me know. Thanks!
