You didn't specify an illness, but in my experience with my illnesses (mostly skin disorders like eczema, psoriasis) pills, creams, prescriptions never did a damn thing for me. They did all get better and some even went away entirely when I finally committed to changing my lifestyle. I stopped using ALL chemicals, from deodorant to shampoo. I started eating real food. I go outside and get real exercise in fresh air. I go barefoot as often as I can to ground myself to the earth's magnetic field. Most importantly, I think positive because mind and body are in fact connected. Whatever your illness is I hope you find relief.

i definitely agree with lalena, whole lifestyle change is really where its at....rather than quick fix pill thinking.

this i discovered from my own illness, first going out and getting lots of silver (colliodial silver really is an amazing thing) herbs, products, and learning about wildcrafting medicines, etc. there were some thing that helped me here, but of course it depends on what you are trying to treat. oregano oil is a very powerful medicine.....and almost everyone will benefit from a colon and intenstines cleanse....there are various ways to do this, the simplest is FASTING.

more effective than any of that was changing my diet and lifestyle. its tough, i KNOW ! but you gotta stick to it for the long term...and every time you fall of the wagon you gotta just keep sticking to it.

Without knowing what specifically you need meds for, only general acknowledgment that herbs can work for many things can be safely given. You may have something serious that you heard an herb 'was good for' and go try it without doing research and do more harm. There are contrindications with meds or with some conditions, if say, you had your thyroid removed.
With my own non serious needs, I turn to herbs first and they do indeed work. But there's more tol consider than simply replacing pills with an herb, it is holistic, as LaLena described.
(My best friend's name was Lalena, what a nice surprise it is to see that name again!)
