Howdy! I welcome any suggestions! I am planning to transform the forested 6 acres of a tract in central PA to a
permaculture food forest. I have several goals for next year.
Encouraging growth/nutritional support of the existing Oak and Maple
trees.(Any suggestions on what to "guild" with them would be appretiated)
There are Black Walnut and Chestnut, Beech, Hickory that I would like guild suggestion for also.
Starting a "nursery area" of
Black Locust from cuttings from the property for future use.
Cutting brushy areas at the forest edge and planting some ground cover(Suggestions?)
There are about 4 acres of flat weedy/brushy growth along with the 6 acers forested... any suggestions on clearing it with livestock?
Lastly I want to start a property hedgerow (that will be a 5+ year
project) I am considering Bamboo, Goji, and Blackberry any other Ideas?
