After a over a decade and hundreds of hours of tilling/weeding/watering/amending and still getting poor produce production, FINALLY we have had success !
Gardening at 7500 ft with a short 3.5 month growing season
Hope this helps someone in a similar climate

Please feel free to share recommendations, I surely don't know everything, but we finally found what works in our environment.
We had to can a bunch of garden produce, but the canned green beans even to this day are still bursting with flavor, and the best part of any meal. Crazy!

Thank you for sharing, and showing what is possible in trying conditions. Wood chips robbing nitrogen..? Add nitrogen (manures, high N compost, urine) The benefit of the deep mulch retaining moisture, and benefiting soil life and fungals outweighs any “loss” of nitrogen in my opinion.
