Hello everyone,

I wish I was here telling everyone about my permaculture adventures this spring, but I have been up-to-my-ears busy.  I have mown my lawn once (desperately needs it again).  But the worst might be that I haven’t mown my trails at all and I am afraid that they might just disappear into a sea of grass.

IF I get a chance on Sunday I will get my tractor out and bush hog my trails out before they completely disappear into the rest.  Normally I mow my trails with my zero turn lawn mower, but it’s too long now.

Not trying to complain, mostly just telling everyone what I am hoping to do soon.

School’s out June 2!

i wonder if its really a lot of grass why not have sheep or horses or perhaps
co-op with someone who has animals who would love some of that fresh
snacks; then if its not a lot, you could you use scythe and get some extra
sunshine ; either way no need to worry;  good luck

Zaratustra,

I guess I need to give more context.  I actually like tall grassy fields & meadows.  I like to mow trails through the grass for walking.  But as I have not been able to get to the mower this spring, the trail grass is almost as long as the field grass, making the paths disappear.

With just a little luck I can jump on my tractor and mow the paths this weekend as I am not so committed as in the recent past.

I do have some natural consumers of my grass—deer!  Lots of them!  I am pretty certain that the word has gotten out among the deer population that my property is the safe place to grab a snack.
