New/Wanna Be Permie will be traveling from California through Arizona, Texas, St. Louis, Washington DC, Wisconsin back to the Northwest - starting early March, ending in August. Want to see a few eco-villages and intentional communities to find out what works, what doesn't. Within a couple of years want to start one or join one. Ideas of where to go?

If you haven't read them yet I recommend the books of Diana Leafe Christian, who has made a study of finding out what makes some intentional communities work and why most fail.

There's a handful of communities in Missouri north of Hwy 70-Dancing Rabbit, Possibility alliance, red Earth...and others associated w/them I'm pretty sure. If you wander into Columbia on your way and need a big glass of water or something...get in touch---Dave

Hi Helen,

I'm a fellow rv dweller currently camping in the Verde Valley, AZ. I'm on a very similar mission and am hoping to hit the road sometime this month. Just trying to get a few little things finished on the rv and save a little gas money. If you want to meet up when you come through AZ, drop me a line. I always enjoy meeting other like minded folks.

Danny
