Here is a couple of links to Chihuahuan desert and then to the Chihuahuan semi desert grasslands. Shows the differences between the two, talks about desert degredation and improvement to grassland. Big websites lots of interesting information. Lots of pictures in both.

On a hunch I clicked on this page. I was incredibly shocked to see that a webpage from my Alma Mater was linked on here. So I clicked on the link and began reading. Not very far in, I had to start laughing. Without ever seeing an author of the webpage I new instantly who he was. Long story short, the author is a steward of the land, has different ways of thinking, has been ridiculed and rejected for his ways, but none the less is an excellent teacher to those who are willing to learn.

I once heard him explain that the earth had reached its human carrying capacity the day man dug the first well.
