Yesterday I had a table at the Earth Day gathering at Caras park. The weather was not too good,it was kind of cold and windy,so there was not a lot of people there, and that's just the way it is when the weather is that way,BUT,to make matters worst, the bands there were playing so loud that you could not talk to some one that came up to the table where I was selling books, you had to holler at each other, and I could tell that the very loud music was driving people away. I don't understand why there always has to be drinking and loud music at almost every thing that takes place in Missoula.

I personally don't have a problem with drinking or loud music, just wish they would seperate it all from the other activities going on at the same time. I agree that loud music will drive people away from events. One reason why I rarely participate in events around the Missoula area.

I went to a baby/kid event there last summer and the music was insanely loud. I ended up leaving early because I thought it was too loud for my kid if it hurt my ears. I don't get it at all. I wonder if there's someone we could talk to?

I'm only 28 years old and I love skull-crushing rock music but I'm still of the opinion that everybody plays too damn loud. Jimi Page recorded the first Led Zep using a 5-watt Fender Champ, so there.
