I think da U.P. would  "great white north," or do I belong somewhere else?

If anybody's ever looking to take a vacation here (wonderful place to vaycay, I think), and you don't want to have to pay for lodging, get in touch with me and we can talk about you farm sitting while hubby and I go somewhere else for a while.

I don't have any answers for you but I'm in upstate New York and it is pretty white and north here, too.  Yeah, it's great, too, but I guess it is also East.

Hi, fffarmergirl - just found this site and am investigating permaculture here in the banana belt. Not good at it in any way, or knowledgeable - that's what this site is for, right?

I'm in the Hiawatha Forest near Escanaba. Where are you? Rocky Acres could be a lot of this fine peninsula.

Hi fffarmergirl....I think the U.P. qualifies as the great white north!  I live in the woods a few miles outside the hoppin' town of Gwinn and work in Marquette.  Where are you located?
