Algarvian Paradise for sale. 7.5hectare (more or less 20 acres) small-holding near Aljezur, west Algarve. Suitable for community living/retreat/guesthouse business. There are 4 houses, various structures and a popular, unique social space with a traditional bread oven and fireplaces on the land. Extensive organic vegetable garden and 100's of mature fruit and nut trees, including apple, pear, plum, apricot, peach, fig, lemon, orange, grapefruit, nespera, almond and walnut.
There are also hundreds of medronho bushes (the fruit of which produces the local fire-water!) and cork oak trees.
The gardens and land have been lovingly tended for the last 17years we have lived there, following permaculture practices, including a thriving grey water system, compost toilets and swales dug into the hillside.
The traditional taipa (rammed earth) houses have flush toilets and wood burners and provide comfortable accommodation.
The property is bordered by a stream and has 2 wells and a borehole. Aljezur (7km away) is a large village with full amenities and there are numerous surfing/family beaches nearby. Access is by tarmac road.
During the 17years we have had the privilege to own and nurture this stunning property, we have hosted Permaculture courses,  run a successful guesthouse business and it has been used for community living. We are getting older, so the time has come to pass it on and enter a new chapter. Price is 950,000 euros(£820,000) negotiable.
Interested?  please email either krisvarzea@gmail.com or varzeadagoncala@gmail.com for more information.

So I left, I came home, and I ate some pie. And then I read this tiny ad:
