This contraption has turned out to be rather excellent. It is a skidder made by norwood. We pull it behind the electric UTV.

(Kristie took these pictures and I just turned them right side up)

The wheel bracket for both wheels got bent. We called Norwood and they say we are the first to experience this. They are upgrading their designs and sent us out two sets of replacements immediately.

When the two sets arrived, Tim took one apart and welded to the other. Norwood sent along a couple of hats too. Tim thinks Norwood really stepped up and thinks their stuff is extremely well built. And he likes their hats too.

That wheel bracket is not nearly as strong as the rest of the design--I am betting they had a different design originally and cut it back for $$$ hoping it would still hold.

This video is a little old. Ours has bigger tires and now has welded forks.

Tim wants us to get the grapple stuff. Right now we just have the chain stuff.

My impression is that they switched to a larger tire, but did not make the connection base larger at the same time. It sounds like they will make the connection base larger and that will probably fix everything.

The skidmate is now mended and back in operation. Paul Redmond is doing quality control while Kristie drives.
