Hello,

A while ago, i was watching a youtube video about building a greywater biofilter. Just look around on youtube and you will find it. Now i thought about a similar system that would include both blackwater (toilet/sewage) and greywater. Has anyone had any experience with a system like that?

Thanks
Bert

okay, this is the idea:

raw sewage water ( with poop and urine) flows into a concrete reservoir, filled halfway with gravel. it contains plants like reeds, iris and cattail and has an overflow. the idea is that the raw humanure gets absorbed by the plants, and the dirty water will flow over to basin no. 2.

basin no. 2 is a similar basin filled with rocks and reeds. it has an overflow to basin no.3.

basin no. 3 is again similar but has gravel in it. the overflow of this basin goes through a perforated barrel filled with sand and smaal gravel. this goes into a pond where it will be purified my sweetwater clams.

100 yards of grass will do all required. Alternately a reed filled pond of suitable size will do the same.
