I'm kicking it in Santa Cruz , Ca. at my place the New Earth Homestead.
You can find it on Facebook as 'New Earth Homestead'. I am on the teaching team of a 12 month Permaculture Design Course sponsored by the Regenerative Design Institute. Go to my blog to learn more  . . . http://www.terranovalandscaping.com/blog/
I am a styling 52 year old recubent bike riding landscaper. Own a business called Terra Nova Ecological Landscaping for the past 21 years. We specialize in Fossil Free Landscaping. I just put a new super on my bee hive, harvested eggs from my chickens and made a smoothie this morning with home made almond milk and nettles from my yard. I am talking urban homesteading here. That's my gig but there's a catch. A single man does not a homestead make. See the problem here? I'm a straight but not narrow 6"1' 180 pound healthy man. Seeking a woman for companionship and the odd poetry reading. See the solution?
I give tours upon request so don't be shy!
Cheers,
Ken

Hi Ken,

Many months have passed since you wrote a note on permie singles, so perhaps you've found your homestead mate.  But even if so, I would enjoy meeting a fellow permaculture teacher, and seeing your home.  I am planning on visiting my sister in Santa Cruz for Thanksgiving.  After that, I have no concrete plans, though the place where I'm working (Lost Valley Education Center in Oregon) is experiencing a leadership vacuum that I met step into.  But Santa Cruz has been near the top of the list of places I'm thinking of going to search for a home.

You can read articles I've written that are fairly autobiographical on the web.  Here's my latest: http://communities.ic.org/articles/1381/How_to_Add_Zest_to_Your_Sustainability_Education_Program

For a picture you can visit allthingshealing.com  - the Think Green section.  My hair has grown out some since the video was taken, so I look more normal again.

  Hope to hear from you,
                      Melanie

Bring me the box labeled "thinking cap" ... and then read this tiny ad:
