They're wrapping up construction of a log structure at Wheaton Labs and thought it would be fun to have a work party. Also, he will waive the $100 gapper fee for people helpin' them out with this project.

The ol' planeroo:

We'll pick ya up in Missoula at McCormick Park in front of the Aquatic Center at 8am Saturday 8/15, and bring ya back
to Missoula at 7pm on Sunday 8/16.

Whatcha get:

In exchange for your help, you'll get to check out some of the awesome projects here at the Wheaton Labs. Sunday afternoon
we will give a tour of basecamp and the laboratory. You will get to see three wofatis, the lemon tree project, the tipi,
five rocket mass heaters at base camp, three J-Tube style rocket stoves, three rocket mass heaters at the laboratory,
the solar "voltswagon", the "solar leviathan", the solar electric vehicles, the solar electric tractor, the solar electric sawmill,
hugelkultur beds, Sepp Holzer's grain, a junkpole fence, a haybox cooker, berms, the berm shed, the bee hut, the porta-cabin, several skiddable structures, compost hot water showers, two poop beast systems, ant village, and more.

Whatcha do:

Mostly, we need help lifting logs for the roof poles and cutting to length. After the roof is in place, we will cover it with soil.
You'll even have a chance to drive the tractor during construction. Spiffy!

There is plenty of room to set up your tent for the night. There is a guest refrigerator and you'll have a chance to cook using a
rocket stove. Please bring any food or cookware you might need. At the end of the day, enjoy a nice hot shower with our compost
hot water heater.

Come spend the weekend with the permaculture goofballs at Wheaton Labs!

If you have any questions, please ask them in this thread, or contact fred AT richsoil DOT com

That would not only be awesome but extremely sweet. Unfortunately i find myself on the other side of the atlantic. Have a great time, i'll be waiting for the usual feedback on this side of the fence!

For my next trick, I'll need the help of a tiny ad ...
