I would check around with the
local gamekeepers or universities if available to see what may be available. Over here the rats and
mice are notorious for chewing and building nest in vehicles and we find predators looking for them. As far as chewing into your irrigation tubing, try putting out some open waterers in strategic locations, I have came across various critters chewing into drip irrigation lines, by putting out available water they'll drink from that before chewing into a line once they've located the water other water source.
