Looking for those who have interests in EarthShip technology and Off Grid experience located in the Amarillo area.

We have recently purchased 20 acres NW of Amarillo and planning a EarthShip like build. We have had the privilege of staying in four different EarthShips outside Taos NM and were very impressed with the technology. We also had the pleasure of supplying an Axial Flux Permanent Magnet Alternator for their Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (Dynasphere) in operation at the entrance of the training facility. Our plans deviate from one aspect of the ES design by incorporating concrete instead of tires for earth contact walls. With apologies, we are a bit over the hill to pack tires with dirt so we are forced to take the poorer path using concrete.
Our build will be a modest 1,000 square feet and with the exception of the SE exposure will be totally earth covered. We are very fortunate to have a good well and have acquired all the necessary components to install a solar pump.
Our primary expertise is in electronics with some construction experience unfortunately little in the concrete arena.

We also happen to be well versed in small wind turbine design and fabrication. We plan to install 5-7 small wind turbines along with 5Kw of solar. It is our desire to "pass along" our working knowledge of this technology to anyone with an interest. We developed a very high grade version of the "OtherPower" 1Kw home build and make available any information on design and fabrication in hopes to continue interest in this very efficient design.

Hello!  I just saw your post and I realize it was written several years ago.  But I’m wondering if you got the earthship built and are still around here.  I’m between Amarillo and Canyon and very interested in alternative housing.
Thanks

That's my roommate. He's kinda weird, but he always pays his half of the rent. And he gave me this tiny ad:
