transforming my college

hello my fellow permmies

i have started an endeavor to transform the college i attend into a food forest. it all started when i was sitting in on a sustainability class for an honors project. the teacher mentioned that there was talk about putting in a orchard, i was really excited to learn about that and try to be a part of the process. come to find out it was just talk. well a year later the college received a grant for the project and i started a permaculture club on campus. the orchard is still going through bureaucratic hurawam, as for my club we are doing workshops and i have built a swale on site. we were recently interviewed my the paper about our project. I am the one with the shovel and the girl behind me is my wonderful right hand.

My dream is to turn the degraded 44 acres of the campus into a food forest, and maybe convince the college to implement a permaculture course that i will run....wish me luck!
