Fourteen loads out of the goat pen with a New Holland front bucket .. first gear nice and slow and let it self load. The first two I scraped up the top fine's and got two loads of that and spread it out on my lawn .. flower beds, garden .. then loads of glumps under each of ten fruit trees .. but the big sheets and glumps went out of the pile to work down all winter.

We mowed by the pen first and took a shovel and dug out tall standing weeds of summer .. watered the mulberry and lilacs and are ready for winter. Swather man Joe came and swathed nine acres of grass alfalfa third cutting .. my 1956 baler is shot .. we will see if I get it baled or break down .. ordered water on this morning to give the horse pasture some last water. The waste water ditch will fill and give the fruit trees a good soak. Fall water sets up next years growth .. so water up.
