I started this post to discuss some ideas and ended up writing a really long post over at coderanch about the "preferences" under "my profile". I think that will get some updating to be a little clearer soon.

In the meantime, I want to talk about email settings here:

https://permies.com/forums/email/preference

Currently:

monthly email
permaculture stuff
PNW stuff
Missoula stuff
I wanna help with devious plots on world domination

I would like to propose:

[ ] hand crafted monthly newsletter of the biggest stuff of the month
[ ] hand crafted weekly notification about book/dvd/event giveaway stuff
[ ] hand crafted daily-ish stuff (usually three to four times per week)
[ ] hand crafted stuff about the pacific northwest (US) (maybe twice a year)
[ ] hand crafted stuff about missoula, montana (maybe six times per year)
[ ] hand crafted call for help on something with Paul's plots on world domination (about once a month)

Note that I added one there.

In a week or so, I will probably propose that we move this list into the "preferences" under "my profile".

So, does this sound lovely to you all?

I like that a lot better.

It's more clear what people are getting into.
