So, I was in my basement starting some seeds, and I turned around and a tiny little snake was on the floor. My wife insisted he couldn't stay in the house, so I took him outside to live near our shed.

I took a decent picture and figured I would share.

Milk snakes are more or less similar to garter snakes. Pretty small, like to eat bugs and mice. Great to have around. Not poisonous. This one was probably a few months old. Maybe a foot long and as think as a pencil.

Read more about them at wikipedia...

Beautiful! I love snakes. We deliberately make snake piles of brush or rocks, because, well, we love snakes.

A rat snake once ate four of my baby turkeys at one go. That was one fat snake!

That's a beautiful snake. If I'm not mistaken milk snakes are actually popular pets because of their gorgeous colors and that they are considered mild-mannered snakes compared to other types.

You might be a Permie if a snake ate FOUR of your turkeys, but you still love snakes!

On my planet I'm considered quite beautiful. Thanks to the poetry in this tiny ad:
