Good evening all,

At the moment I'm having a thinking exercise on a proof of concept on an electricity and heat generating unit based on the concept of organic rankine cycle generator.

On the last I have the following question. Does anyone here have experience whether a car AC compressor (scroll type) can be used as an expander to expand in stead of compress the refrigerant?

Does anyone here have experience on ORC units and where to find practical and theoretical knowledge?

Thanks by forehand

I found an article in a few places about this exact topic. Not sure if it is available for free, but you could read the abstract Here at researchgate and decide if it is worth purchasing. Goodluck
