The folks from Transition to permaculture have created an interactive map where individuals can contribute to the map in a collective manner .I have been posting mostly small farms here in Napa and believe it can be a great way to have a reason to begin discussions with local farmers and other local sustainability organizations on how to more effectively organize at the local level If you are not interested in the map per se, but are still interested in discussing and organizing strategies to increase local economies, local farms, local media etc please consider looking at my site listed below and please be in touch
