has anyone used it? or have any comments on it or other suggesstions? I just want to improve the current local grass/weeds and addd some stuff the chickens will like.
They give a breakdown of what is in it if you scroll down. They are selling pots of seedlings. It would be very expensive to plant even a small chicken run. You can easily buy the seeds and do the same yourself for a fraction of the cost.
A couple of clovers, a little Fat Hen, and some flax if you want the omega-3 content. Chickens like humans and other animals do best with a varied diet.
They aren't actaully selling the pots its 3.99 for a lb of that seed mix is what it is. I was just wondering what folks thought about the blend. I have want to use all organic seed so it a little harder to find local.
Anyone have a good resource?
I am really just looking for overall suggesstion on improving the area with food for them
I am going to plant some raspberries, mulberries, sunflowers etc as bigger things but was wondering about smaller grasses/ grains. Can i just sow oats, rye, alfalfa etc mixed in the area

Looks like there are several perennials in the mix, and unless the hens totally destroy the field, any annuals that make it to seed should regrow. Hope your hens enjoy it!
