***Trying again and widening the search having found no leads in the UK.. we're open to ANYWHERE in EUROPE!***

Nature-loving, permaculture-inspired, home-educating, woodworking, creative vegan family (two adults, 11-year-old daughter, 2 well-behaved dogs) seeking a way to live in a more natural environment where we can develop our permaculture dreams.

Our plans include yurt-living amidst nature and the creation of a space where we can invite others to enjoy simple-living/yoga/vegan/writing/art and craft retreats.

If you have land that you need caretakers for or want to share, where we could bring our dreams to life, do let us know!!!

Would love to connect with anyone who has any ideas... our thought behind this ad is that if you can't find what you're looking for, perhaps you need to 'put it out there' so someone else can find you!

Hello.
Love the sound of what you do and what you are looking for!
We (family of 3,  daughter 14yrs) live in southern Catalunya. We only have a smallish plot 1250 square metres with a off grid cabin that we live in,  we are planning to turn the land into a food forest. Would you be interested in this area? There's a few British people living in the mountains around here with lots and lots of land and most don't even know what to do with all the land. If your interested i will give you some pages to try I'm sure you will get a result.
Your welcome to stay here anytime if you decide to come over and check places out etc we have a small caravan on our land.
Hope you find your dream place soon

Hey Sam and family,

Thank you so much for getting in touch. YES! we are interested in your area... in fact, we have plans to visit for a little nose around very soon in what sounds to be close to where you are.

Would love to meet up. Not sure how to email you, but you can email us via my website link (in signature) if that helps.

:-)

Hi Alice,

I'll watch this thread and get in touch if we find anything.  We are looking for land to build an off-grid house (pretty much given up on the UK due to the cost) and are searching in Portugal/Italy.  There is a possibility in Sarzana, Liguria but we we waiting for a planning decision!   We're looking in areas close to wilderness rather than in farmland but near to a school and community.  We'd welcome people living on it and helping to cultivate it.

Stay in touch!

Hey Froggy,

Sounds interesting... do let us know which way you go. We have spent a lot of time in Portugal and it's definitely got many plus points - we're now looking to head off from the UK in January for a while to see what transpires....

Definitely keep in touch and thanks for saying hello!

Alice & family

Hi Alice, I've just sent you an email from Italy
We are looking for people that help us to let our dream comes true. We are two, a woman, 28 years old and a man, 40 years old, we live with many animals, we are vegan, so we love and respect them so much!
We love permaculture and we made sinergic garden all the time.
We have not child, but we want so much to realize in our place a green school, a place where kids can learn in the nature, from their parents and from us and from all the peole that have something beautiful to teach.

I hope to hear from you soon :-)

I have a property in the Azores - beautiful Flores Island. My dream is that it be transformed into a permaculture. Would you be interested in Azores ?  There is a growing community of permaculture sustainable living on the island.

I'd be interested to know how things went or are going. I have a friend, with a family of 3 total, in the UK looking for a similar opportunity in the south. Dorset or Glastonbury type area. If anyone knows or has found a good place to find such an opportunity, Please let me know. THANKS!
Does anyone know if WWOOF in the UK is a good place to look?
