I'm a certified PDC that lives in S. Lake Tahoe. I'm a new owner of a landscaping and gardening business called Natures Gardener. I build food gardens and do general landscaping and I base all my work on the principles of permaculture. I also teach workshops at the community college on growing organic food. I have lots of construction experience, was head of maintenance at a timeshare resort, and was tossed around by a few plumbing and electrical contractors in my early working years. Your project sound like its right up my alley.
I'm looking for a lifestyle change since Tahoe is extremely slow to adapt anything. I'm also in the middle of getting the family Tahoe house ready to put on the market this summer, which means I'll be on the move and looking for a sustainable project such as this. I'd love to put my skills to works and I'm willing to work for just food and a place to camp. I did this for a few months in Napa Valley, CA and built a small food forest on a 3/4 acre plot with out a problem (actually i really dug it. I've been a fan of camping since i was a kid)
