My Grandpa's land has been invaded by this plant for some time now. it grows about 3-4 feet high, can get pretty dense at times. Its fairly easy to pull out of the ground by hand, but most of the roots (which look like 1/2 inch thick branches, milky white on the inside) stay behind.

i've added some images.

if anyone has some info on this plant, i would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Thanks everyone for the help! i will definitely look into the raspberry pi system (their site currently looks like its down.

the farm land is a good 5 minute walk from the house and there is no electricity on site. so the monitor/camera must be battery powered.

My Grandfather has a few acres in the Azores, which he raises some chickens and grows some fruit and vegetables. Over the past 15 years or so he has had the problem (i believe the whole island may have this problem) of someone stealing crops just before harvest and some tools here and there. The thief is never consistent, but its always a let down.

I will be moving there for a year and would like to buy a security camera to catch this veggie bandit. Does anyone have some recommendations for a good camera? Its must be battery powered, motion activated and weather proof. So far i am considering the Moultrie Game Spy M-990I

, but would prefer something smaller (easier to hide).

I am not sure if i posted this under the right forum. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Thanks Keith i believe you're right, and have started cutting back on the misting.
i first noticed them on a piece of bread. they were all over it and laid their eggs on it too. obviously i threw the slice of bread out.

Hi Everyone i purchased 1 pound of red wigglers about 2 months ago. Everything seemed to be going fine, until recently.

for the past week i've been seeing very small (smaller then a pin head) light brown / orange spiders running around in my worm farm. there also seems to be eggs which look like very small sesame seeds.

There is a video on youtube, that claims bugs and critters are fine.

Please keep in mind my worm farm is indoors and doesn't have any foul smells. i added fine, crushed dry eggs shells a few weeks ago just in case things were a little on the acidic side...?

any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
