Ok well my mistake then. Thanks for clarifying. I'll have to be more observant before posting. Thanks.

Well I guess you can change your name so I'll know who you are. I bought the rocket stove manual in Amazon. I've been here awhile and noticed you post alot but didn't know your part of the team.

There will always be interest in FREE plans. Your heater looks good. Personally this particular thread is about wood heaters not rocket heaters. They have a separate topic thread for those. But I'm all for innovative ideas. I understand the admins concern about being whiplashed for allowing it, however technically this is not the rocket heater thread so I guess you could rename it to something else without using the word "rocket" and we would be good. Great idea!

Is there any reason not to run single wall pipe up through a 30 or 55 gallon drum with no insulation to use as a heat exchanger and take heated air radiated off single wall and blow into rooms via ducts?  Situation is alcove on outside wall up to the second floor. Have existing stove on first floor with tripple wall insulated pipe directly on stove to the roof. Not pleased with stove or setup. House is not built to put stove in center of house. Not interested in a rocket stove horizontal but may consider vertical if possible.  Thinking of going to a barrel stove running the pipe straight up inside the barrel like people do with a brick chimney. Maybe adding a second stove on second floor. Not concerned about insurance as I can't get it anyway for the time being if ever. Codes are not a issue. But willing to abide as much as can.

Thanks for the input. I ended up checking with State Farm insurance. The agent I talked to said they would give me property liability insurance excluding the house and any outbuildings as long as they were not able to insure them under a homeowner policy. It's a $1000 deductible and pays up to $300,000 per claim. This covers product liability of products produced trom the property as long as not produced from the excluded parts. So if you walk on my property and break your arm , I'm covered. For 5 acres cost was close to $478.00

I own my land and have been building a house for almost 20 years on a pay as you go or have time. I'm divorced 22 years.  I recently retired and trying to stay that way but have run into a brick wall.  Having liability insurance on the property . Since my house is still not finished as far as insurance companies think it should be, I've been unable to get any kind of coverage. I would like to sell a product of some kind like vegetables or storage sheds and though probably rare , legal issues can arise where you can get sued if someone finds a fire ant on there tongue after eating your tomatoes or stuck by a nail in your building. It all seems to fall around having homeowners insurance that I can't get so I can't get any other kind. Anyone have any ideas on getting liability protection without a homeowner policy?

Try  googling" Noble Research Institute" hoop house plans. Oklahoma based foundation has a pretty solid looking hoop house.

Watermelons get there needs met by the root system going deep in the ground. Try digging a really deep hole like with a post hole digger or a power auger as deep as you can or feel like. 2 to 3 feet seems good to me. I'm not an expert.  Fill back with what you took out or mix with whatever seems right. This is a deep subject. Sorta like the joke about lawyers why when they die they are buried 50 feet underground. Because deep down they are nice people. (from a lawyers website) deep down your watermelon roots will like you more.
