I want to plant some good shade trees on the west side of my pasture, but inside the property, which will put them inside the pasture.
are there any good shade trees that goats wont destroy?
Also an option was planting fodder trees like ash, willow or alder, but with that will the goats eat the bark and kill the tree, or will they leave them alone if they are a certain size in caliper?

I am in a green belt in Payson, Ut. Zone 6a. I am developing some pasture that will have cattle on it occasionally. My question is what is the best wild flower mix to hydroseed the pasture with for my honey bees to collect pollen from?

Have you ever walked over acres and acres of land along hillsides and slopes carrying a transit level and a stick or an "A" frame trying to survey land to determine the keyline or the best place to put swales, dams, and ponds?
