Hi Mikey,

We are in Southwest Ontario near Goderich and have a 20 acre homestead type property.  I am intrigued by your post.  I thought I'd start by "hello".

I will tell him. When is the next program offered? thanks!

Hi Paul,

My son just got done working in Yellowstone with the Student Conservation Association and is in your area.  He is keenly interested in Permaculture as is his traveling companion.
Is there any way they could stop in today or is that frowned upon?  They are interested in the ANT program.  If so, his phone number is 419 705-5549. His name is Eric.  I am writing this because he is on the road and has no access to a computer.  I know this is asking a lot.  Thanks for your consideration in contacting him directly.

I am very interested in starting a hidden forest garden but, I have many deer and other forest animals. Are there any plants or techniques that would survive in deer prone areas?

Attached is an address to a link with some pictures of the property. This website "ecoproperty.ca" is pretty amazing with links to permaculture and sustainable living etc. I just recently found it on the web.
Contact me if you are interested in the property. Please pass it on to your friends as well. Also, if we can not sell soon, we might consider a wwoof type situation for the tiny house someday (picture is shown). Thanks!

20 acre sustainable farm near Goderich, Ontario. Animal lovers paradise! This property has it all – animals, pasture, ponds, streams, organic gardens, woods, fencing, barns and a beautiful 1800 sq. ft. Confederate log home with 3 bedrooms , 2 full and 2 half baths, indoor hot tub room, finished basement and 2 car garage. There is a fantastic earth sheltered workshop. The home is energy efficient and well built. There is solar gain with many south facing windows. There are three ponds and a stream and several dams and a water wheel that could potentially generate hydro power. There are several wooded acres and plenty of firewood available, house and workshop have a woodstove, 10 acres of pasture, small green house and large south facing garden on a slope and an additional twenty 3X5 ft. beds raised beds. Garden is extremely productive with a constant supply of alpaca manure. Property is completely fenced and cross fenced with 6 foot chain link fence. There is a dream barn with poured concrete walls half way up. Each stall has its own fenced yard. Barn has electric and automatic water. There is also a smaller wood barn. There is a large variety of animals on the property including elk, fallow deer, llama, alpaca, chicken, duck, peacock, goat, sheep, horse, mule and swan. There is an adorable tiny brick cottage on the property surrounded by trees, animals and water. The cottage is in a park like setting. This could be an artist cottage or host eco-tourist or woofers. There are 3 additional brick buildings for animals. Goderich is a town of 8,000 people on the shores of Lake Huron and is considered the “Prettiest Little Town in Canada”. Goderich is 2.5 hours west of Toronto. This is a “turn key” property for the serious animal lover and permie. This home has been dearly loved and we are looking for the perfect person to love the property and the animals. Asking $499,000. please email m.mittel@yahoo.com
