Wind Spirit Community is located in the Dripping Springs Mountains outside Globe, AZ.

It’s nestled in a beautiful valley, on 16 acres with over 1,000 treecrops planted over the last three decades (citrus, olives, loquats, pomegranate, mulberries, many more).

The land is owned by a non-profit and there is only one person left from the founding group. This member is looking for support and commitment in keeping the eco-village going strong into the future.

Some more info and photos can be seen at www.windspiritcommunity.org though the website is a little out-of-date.

If you might be interested in coming out for a visit or chatting more online, there’s contact and visiting info on the website!

Hi Cathy,
Have you heard of/looked into The Draw Permaculture Sanctuary? They're up north near Bayfield, not sure whih county that is. I spent some time there last Spring and was extremely impressed with their knowledge and devotion in regards to living sustainably. If you never have, I definitely recommend checking the place out! All the best.

Hi there. I'm interested in relocating to Northern California this summer and am looking for a place to further my experience with permaculture. I am a 24 year old male raised in Minnesota, but have been traveling throughout the U.S. and Central America the last 5 or so years seeking skills for a more sustainable life. I'm especially interested in the theory and practice of forest gardening and would be ecstatic to have an opportunity to get hands on experience working with a food forest. A Wwoof-type exchange would be ideal. I prefer peaceful, natural settings and don't need much as far as entertainment goes. I won't be able to be in the region until early July, but if anyone out that way is looking for help please let me know! -Grant
