Hi everyone, I'm from Maine, but I just discovered a coffee company out in California called Blackwelder Coffee Co. Anyways, I find the coffee that I make from their beans exceptional. I bought the coffee from Amazon solely for drinking, but per usual, I put the grounds into the compost that I use in my garden. Anyways, the plants in the area that I put the compost with the coffee grounds in have never been healthier. I always put coffee grounds into my compost, but for some reason, Blackwelder Coffee beans make a real difference. Do you think that the effect of coffee beans on composting depends on the type of coffee? My only theory is that Blackwelder advertises themselves as low acidity, which is great for taste, but maybe even better for the PH of the soil in my garden. Any other ideas? Thanks!!
If any composting experts want to check out the link, I've put it below. I know a lot about coffee, but not much about the science behind composting so if something in the description gives you any ideas let me know!!
