Hi there, my name is Simon. This was my recent failed idea: https://www.facebook.com/Kung-Fu-Christians-Aquaponic-Jungle-941633469310697/

I can do this but I am broke except for $1200. I live in Yucca Valley though. I am renting a home here and my lease ends this month. I have no clue what I am going to do but I have been studying permaculture online for the last two years and have collected 60 gigs of info on it. I really need the hands on experience. I am just at that point. You can see on that page my other life which is the greeting cards I sell. Those cards were mostly all big acrylic paintings and I do sell here in the desert but I would rather do this. I would love to pick your brain. I don't need much to live but will work to have a place to call my own on your land if this is a permanent gig. What you have is perfect. I was just going to start making payments on 2.5 acres in Landers, Ca. but would much rather be a part of this even though I do not own it. I don't need to do aquaponics either. Working with compost and raised beds and guilds. If you have a greenhouse, I could live in that if there is internet. I am simple but i like Netflix fast internet, lol. Anyway, let me know. My lease ends at the end of this month. Thanks, Simon

Hey, I will be in Ashland trying to recruit people for coming down South and doing the very same thing because it is easier to grow here because of the sun, though I do love Oregon. But all my old friends are in Ashland and those are the only people I know that would possibly be interested. I want to do aquaponics and have a food forest, kind of tough in Oregon. I don't have the land yet but I am in Southern Cali now and there is a 2.5 acre lot in Landers that is $75 a month to own, payments for 12 years.

I haven't done the deal yet but was thinking of doing it today and going up to Oregon to try and get some people involved. I was going to put all the supplies I have here in storage in Yucca Valley where I rent a house. If you are interested in meeting in Oregon, I could go into further detail or you can email me: matrixministries@yandex.com

What you are suggesting interests me too though. Let me know if you do get land. Thanks, Simon

Hi Sam,

My name is Simon Luckinbill. I am an artist and sell art in Palm Desert in a gallery (my acrylic paintings). I am buying 2.5 acres in Landers which is not too far from you and trying to do a bunch of different permaculture projects. I want to get into aquaponics and build an earthbag home and an aircrete dome. I was wondering if you might have anything at all that you might not want that you think I could use. I am pretty broke but am trying to do this anyway. I do know what I am doing when it comes to permaculture though, but just from intensive studying, not hands on experience. Email me and we can get together if you like. I really appreciate what you are doing. I am living in Yucca Valley now but will be on the land Sept 1st. My wacky idea on facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/Kung-Fu-Christians-Aquaponic-Jungle-941633469310697/  (I still have to update the site because it says my land is in Texas but my new land deal is in Landers, Ca)

Hi, my name is Sy. I just bought 5 acres at the Terlingua ranch. I want to build an earthship with earth bags, tires, bottles, etc. I want to be 100% sustainable but also enjoy the internet and toys. I am broke though. Hoping to just go down there and network, salvage, work trade. I need some friends. I'll be renting a home near Joshua Tree until late Aug. Let me know if you are interested and are Christian. Thanks. God bless.

Hi, I just signed up for this site. I am intrigued by this idea. Not that I can vouch for myself or we are even trusting vouched for people....but what exactly does the hard work entail when you say "watch the place" that might get one in trouble for not doing or evicted? How easy is it?

Can someone do it who can be trained to do these things in a day? Is it watching things like sensors and turning gadgets on and off or back breaking labor?

I want a few acres in Texas is the only reason I ask. I am willing to just live on land and be able to be off the grid and have a garden as well as help out with whatever is reasonable for that.

My name is Simon Luckinbill. My number is 760 910 5083. I am definitely interested but will be in a house lease until the end of Aug. My next choice would be Alpine or even Terlingua but I am more of a loner than someone who needs to join an eclectic community.

I have no pets or a family though a wife would be nice to join me. I can build an earthbag home or live in a tent. No truckloads of trash. No footprint. I am an artist though so I like painting. I love that you have a library.

All I need is a way to deal with septic and water for the garden. I might be able to hook up a solar set up. I only have $2000.

Great to see there are people reaching out because some of us could really use the break. The system is oppressive and I think you need to be an evil person to make it out there. I want to give my energy to something sustainable. Thanks.
