I agree that Mike's gardening ideas work better with my vision as well and I'm in to give this a go. I'm in Maine.

I don't know if I can male it or not, but I'll gladly pitch in $10 to make sure you aren't stuck with the room cost. Besides, I want this to be viable and your efforts coming to fruition. You put a lot of work in this and I appreciate it.

I'd give it a try - just to see what I can do, if it turns out, I'll submit, if not, it was a learning experience. I like the idea a lot and I like the limitation of size. With 17 acres to play with I find myself stretched too thin all the time and this would force me to limit my garden size.

Since I had Memorial Day weekend off last year, I'll most likely have to work. There is a chance that I'm off the weekend and work Memorial Day itself, so if you could keep it to Saturday or Sunday, the odds are better that I might be able to attend. As for Location: Bangor is fine with me. I'm coming from Monticello.

It's not quite 'art' per se, but I've set out to carve at least one spoon per week in 2024. I just picked up spoon carving and figure I need practice to get good. I enjoy it a lot.

Lol they were known for their airplanes - I know, because I get asked all the time if I'm related.

My submission for the first timer spoon PEP BB. I chose birch as my material, because it is readily available to me. I invested in a cheap set of carving knives - would recomment to invest a little more and get a good hook knife and a good sloyd knife. I learned to charpen those knives though. It was a lot of fun to carve the spoon and it got me hooked: I'm setting up to be able to carve more.
That is a beautiful and inspiring accomplishment - congratulations! I'm looking forward to reading your books.

This is my submission for the club style mallet BB. This was my second attempt - the first ended up as firewood. I am pleased with how the mallet turned out. I put chamfers on the head and handle and used just a knife to give it a smooth finish that's pleasing to hold. It's a bit too long for my comfort, but I left it to meet the requirements of the BB. I'm looking forward to using it.
