Well said and something I needed to read. We're in the early stages of starting our homestead on raw land and while a blank canvas has it's benefits, it can also be overwhelming at times. Often being pulled in 100 directions, sometimes paralysis analysis sets in and instead nothing gets accomplished.  Thanks for sharing and now it's time to go do something

Hey Ben, I'm in Canton working on securing some land to start a homestead in Jasper (Pickens County) soon. I just moved here so can't say much about getting locals involved other than what you're doing and through social media and asking previous clients and those signed up to share. Maybe offer some sort of perk for them doing so has helped us with promoting other stuff in the past.  

Re: Cob, I've looked a lot online videos and articles but never been in one. Love the thermal mass, natural building concept and potential to DIY a home for our family. I guess the unknowns for me are building codes, potential moisture issues and how long it'd take/trusting myself to build a home for our family (1200-1500 sq ft. Any suggestions for our area?
