It appears from this link that the Milk as a beneficial soil amendment by Wedzel was largely fabricated.
If you have milk that's gone bad, might as well add it to your compost, but don't pay for any as benefits are low.

So, this thread is 5 years old now.... What's the current thinking on free PD software if someone's asking the question today?
(Are there better, stronger, faster options in 2019?  Whats gone obsolete, and whats new that has made any of those listed irrelevant now?)
