Hi Guys/Girls I would like to know how to calculate the rpm of a waterwheel, given the waterwheel has 1m long arms, and the flow rate is 300 ml/s I know this is a low flow rate but it is just a given example, the waterwheel has a small centre, say 10cm diametre with 1m long arms, at the end of these arms are small buckets that can take 400ml of water, can someone please assist me in calculating the expected rpm of the waterwheel, as well as explaining to me the principle used to calculate it so that I can edit these parametres according to my needs.
