I've placed an order for two quince bushes for next spring. I currently have two goumi planted with ten feet between them. When I planted them, the idea was I would plant the quince in between, but now I'm concerned about the spacing. How much space would be idea between alternating quince and goumi bushes? I really appreciate any input and help since I still have time to move one of the goumis before winter if necessary. 5 ft between the quince and goumi seems close, but after scouring these forums I know that some people even plant a nitrogen fixer in the same hole.
