I just purchased a piece of property in Arkansas. The soil is rock, rock and more rock, with a covering of hard clay. I have finally finished with a fence as there are many deer. I have had cow manure hauled in and had a load of fresh wood chips delivered a week ago to place on top. I am next focusing on a green house and chicken coup. While my soil conditions itself over the next year, I was considering raising trees and shrubs in containers and setting them out next year in the fall of 2022. Do you think they would survive in a container that long if given extra shelter in a cattle panel greenhouse or should I just wait? Thanks so much.
