Looking for ways to work reliably with others on your Homestead?
We are two genuine and capable people are seeking a permanent land succession project. We have spent seven years working on other people’s land providing maintenance and gardening, as well as some personal care.
Our strong desire is to find an amenable and fair agreement with a person or persons that currently own farm-able acreage and struggle to maintain it on their own. Joining with land owners that will be able to deed their land to us in time, with a contract, is our next step forward. Up front we bring with us quality material assets, experience, a mission, and our labor. This will allow us to create and grow the farmstead and life we desire, while cooperating in a needed and meaningful exchange through land stewardship and resilience building.
Let us introduce ourselves, we are Amy and Ryan and we come from Idaho. Oregon residents since 2019. Oregon land seekers since 2014. Both college graduates and self employed for years. We have resumes and references if requested.
We strongly resonate with individuals that get along easily with others, have a clear communication style, and desire the permaculture lifestyle. We appreciate gardening, orcharding, foraging, and supporting our local farmers, producers, and community. We avoid moldy places altogether, and large cell towers too. We don’t grow cannabis, nor wish to live in an area surrounded by many weed/hemp growers, due to the high water usage requirements. Water is of high importance and access to a good well, or other natural water source is #1 on our list.
We are experienced caretakers in areas of maintenance and repairs of many kinds, and quite adept at gardening, holistic orchard care, land maintenance, maintenance of power equipment, some mechanics, sourcing and acquisition, tech support and research. We have many years worth of practice and deep understanding of health and wellness . We are continual students of lifestyle design and have had far more specific areas of experience, over years not mentioned here.
Is your legacy in your land? We want to keep your land stewardship legacy alive. We want to partner in a land project adventure that can sustain itself through numerous streams of revenue. Beyond just agriculture, we are interested in building out infrastructure and educational components. We want to do more than just exist...we want to THRIVE together for the long term.
Some aging land stewards have no children to Will their land to, and the land will be lost to the highest bidder when they’re gone. It is our intention to find and participate in a truly Win/Win exchange with the right people and the right land. Upfront or committed routes to future forms of ownership or co-ownership is our goal, and we’re planting seeds for our permanent home.
