I searched the forum and found 1 post about earthbag suppliers, I'm sure theres other (search) terms I'm not thinking of. So, I apologize if this has been asked before. I live in Missouri, and was wondering if any of you kind folks could tell me where a good place is to buy bags?

I have been researching cordwood homes, as I'll be closing on 16 acres in about a month. I want to build a cordwood home, started towards earthbag but was told it is more labor intensive than cordwood. Anyway, in my research I found a comment on reddit where someone mentioned slipforming for a faster construction. I then found an article that mentions using it for a double cordwood wall, and on the inside wall. Can someone explain in simple terms what slip forming is and if it can be used on single wall construction?

Also, bonus question, can I use stone as well as cordwood and bottles? I don't have a risk of earthquakes where I'm at.

I just found this site thru reddit, where I was reading about rocket stoves. I love the idea of a RMH, but I'm wondering how big should I make it for a home (I live in a log home btw, if that matters). We don't utilize the basement that much, so I wanted to initially put it on the first floor. But, as I mentioned its all wood flooring. So, my question is should I build it in the basement, if so will the heat just radiate up enough to heat upstairs? I'm comfortable with 69-70,and I'm in the MW so winters do get to low 20's, sometime in the teens, rarely below zero.

So, main questions are size? should i incorporate my existing ductwork? Is that even possible? Is a bigger barrel (55 vs 35 gal) better?

Edit: I found used galvanized stove pipe, can I use that?
