Hi Folks, I realize this thread is really old but I wonder if anyone knows anything about phenolic lining? I have 4, 33 gallon barrels that once held fragrance for soaps. I want to use the cut up steel in outside art pieces. Can the steel with phenolic lining be welded? Do I have to grind the weld area or the entire piece? I would rather not breathe in toxic chemicals and I'm sure my neighbors wouldn't care for that either. Thanks in advance
