I wonder if the reactions that people are getting are perhaps due to oxalate crystals in the pods or something similar? I only got the reaction when eating part of the pod but when scooping out the pulp then just drying that part i had no reaction at all and it was fine. The pain from the pod part reminded me of eating beets that had too high of an oxalate content.
