Hi everyone I wanted to update you all! I fixed my plumbing and put on a new roof. Finishing up my siding and painting to pass inspection soon. I'll be beginning work on restoring my barn in no time. My goal is to have it ready for spring to get geese. I got sheep but I'm not sure I'm going to keep them yet. I might start relying on hunting for my red meat and just do geese. I'm gonna start getting trees/plants going and irrigation next spring so I can start taking cuttings and selling starts. I feel like that's doable lol anyways wanted to bump my post in case anyone wants to team up here in north Florida 😊

I'm curious if a layer of this will work in coating a flat roof to be water proof, anyone use it outdoors and know it's performance in longevity under uv and weather conditions? I'm in florida so no snow.

Thanks Marie! I'm going to keep posting updates here. I've never been so happy and excited 🥰
Hey everyone! I wanted to give you an update with my progress. I closed on my land 11 days ago and have begun working. Here are some updates from my project. I'm currently replacing all my plumbing and have a list of projects to move in on. Here are the pix of my progress ✌️

Still looking for that conscious man who loves this permaculture lifestyle.

I planted some Mexican sunflower and the best variety of cassava already I can't wait to get moved in to get my ducks in a row lol🦆🦆🦆🦆 💦

Here are some photos of my progress ❤️ saw some wild turkeys, never seen them so up close!
I'm no expert but I'm thinking about doing this same thing and if I did it I would look into using insulated chimney pipes. But I'd research the whole of gassing thing first of course.

I'm in Florida, I ended up with a lot of chips once I layered them 6 inches deep. Wood composts fast here though.

I would trim the lowest branch if you want it to be a single trunk that's about it. Looks good!

Where are you growing at? I'm in central Florida, I'm looking to make connections with local permies.

I sent you a PM and can answer any questions. I went through trying to do this a few years ago and ended up deciding to just buy a house. I'm closing next week.

It depends on the county some counties require minimum 700 sq feet. Make sure you call the county building and permitting.

I saw in the past people would sprinkle zinc on the roof to stop moss growth.

Zinc also blocks UV rays so that probably helps the shingles life expectancy.
