Garden Design, Consultancy & Implementation
Teaching (Inside & Out)

Does anyone know of any in the UK that may cover all of the above catergories?

Thanks Mike. I know I'll have to be creative with this one. It'll be a challenge that's for sure. All I have to worry about then is making sure the rain doesn't come in from the roof.................. :

Hi I wasn't sure where to post this thread so hope this is OK here. I am doing my permaculture diploma and have been requested to turn an old shed into a child's den. The main reason for keeping it is the jasmine which has twisted up it and looks like something out of The Hobbit or Lord of The Rings or which ever one it is.

Anyway, on inspection of the inside the shed has some areas which are rotten. I don't want to tear it down because of the jasmine and the clients don't want me to either. Does anyone have any tips on how I can 'mend' the rotten sections and make it reasonably sound before painting inside etc.

I have a friend who has placed horse manure on their garden in January and the ground is still cold now. What could one do to make sure the ground is warm enough for planting later on apart from using unnatural material? Is there a certain time of the year that is best to start warming the soil in preparation for Winter?

Well Tel it has to be reasonably quickly as they want them removed from their garden asap. I love the fungus idea but like I said it has to be as 'quick' as possible. For future ref is it any fungus that will do it or are their specific ones? Thanks Paul for the links. Shame on me for not looking more through the threads. I hang my mis-guided fool head down in shame. I always wanted a personal response from you, not how I'd planned it though. I don't like upsetting big cuddly bears. Gosh really sorry didn't mean to upset anyone. I was just desperate as I really didn't want to use them things anyway but needed a way to do it quite quickly. I wasn't sure of their ethical status as they do seem to have some 'good' feedback on the net, safe in rivers and all that jargon.....so it says. I'm just stupid I guess. Once again so sorry. I love this website community and don't want to be a badie.

Query is to remove a stump

I've been looking round the foum for info on the best way to lay down wildflower seeds. This looked like the best thread but I want to be sure.

I want to do what Sepp does and just broadcast them and let them do their own thing. I won't know if that has worked if I see other species coming up which in this country are considered by most as weeds. How can I be sure that if I broadcast straight into the ground that the seedlings I am seeing are from the seeds I have spread?

Anyone?
