Hi folks,

I've searched the internet for evidence that I'm not the only one who has had this experience, but to no avail...

It seems that when I eat a lot of autumn olives--perhaps go overboard, which is easy for me as I love them--the result is symptoms just like a urinary tract infection. A strong, painfully burning urge to pee, especially right after peeing, and painful burning upon peeing. Taking my goldenrod tincture (which is what cures most typical UTIs for me) helps a bit, but not entirely.

I'm pretty convinced the autumn olives are the culprit because the severity of the pain seems directly correlated to how many of them I've recently eaten. When I canned the last of the first harvest and stopped eating them, the "UTI" promptly went away. After a week I harvested more, and was doing fine in keeping myself from eating too many at once, until I went overboard again last night... I gorged myself on the astringent berries until my throat was so dry I could barely talk. This morning, I woke up with the bad burning again.

My best guess at why this could be, is maybe I've eaten so many that they're making my very urine astringent, causing pain in the sensitive tissue of my bladder and urinary tract. Does this make sense? Does anyone else have a theory?

Has anyone else had this experience??

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and input!!
