In Spring of 2010, a Uganda based nonprofit ICOD Action Network and its Chicago based partner organization Project Focus created an program that provides free permaculture and Information Technology training to local farmers, and serves as a resource for information sharing in areas of need such as permaculture, education and health.

Since 2010, ICOD Action Network has been partnering with Agricultural Co-ops in a permaculture and information-sharing program that provides free training in Permaculture and Information Technology to farmers.

By training farmers in permaculture principles and giving them access to agricultural information, thousands of farmers are now able design their own environments and build increasingly self-sufficient food production systems and regenerate the ecosystems that provide for their communities.

On January 1, 2015 ICOD Action Network launched a 15 days campaign to try and save its permaculture projects from collapsing. The organization wants to reach out to thousands more farmers in 2015 and train them in permaculture principles. Be part of our food rights movement, please support ICOD Action Network’s Permaculture and Information Technology program and save it from collapsing for running through this link http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/permaculture-information-technology-for-farmers
